9 km | Mostly Flat | All Skill Levels |
A loop that combines the Lower Don Trail and Martin Goodman Trail on the east side of downtown Toronto. The route is mostly flat and on dedicated bike paths off the street. There is a small portion on Unwin Ave where you'll be on the road, but it's not too busy.
We suggest starting at the shop, but you could also start at Cherry Beach or near the Starbucks located at the corner of Lakeshore Blvd E. and Leslie St. Check the route map for additional information about what's along the route.

Route Description and Photos:
From Shop Task, you'll be inline skating east towards the Corktown Common park. Then you'll pass under the railway tracks, connect with the Lower Don Trail and head south east towards Lakeshore Blvd East.
There you'll be skating on the Martin Goodman Trail all the way to Leslie Street.
At Leslie Street there is a Starbucks, Tim Hortons, and a couple grocery stores if you need any refreshments and/or snacks.
Head south on the Martin Goodman Trail, which runs parallel to Leslie Street, and follow it down to the end of the street to the entrance of Tommy Thompson Park.
Turn to the right and skate along Unwin Ave, the road bends to the left.
At the bridge the Martin Goodman Trail picks up again on the left.
Follow the Martin Goodman Trail from here to Cherry Beach.
During the warmer months there are washrooms at Cherry Beach.
The Martin Goodman Trail bends to the right and continues north, parallel with Cherry Street.
Continue straight on the trail, over the bridge.
On the north east corner at Commissioners Street there's the Cherry Street BBQ, a great place for a post skating meal or refreshment.
Continue straight on the trial all the way up to Lakeshore Blvd E. Cross the street and stay to the left. You'll be skating under the railway tracks and up Cherry Street.
After the bridge stay to the right and skate around the street car loop. This avoids skating over any tracks.
Turn right on Mill Street, which is the first street.
Turn left on Rolling Mills Road, which is the second street.
Welcome back to Shop Task. Congrats on completing the Cherry Beach Loop.
